PROJECT 1A / PHYSICAL COLLAGE
Prepare materials
Pre-Composition #1:
CONCEPT
The first composition I came up with an illogical design; I just
followed my feeling and came out with this composition. The main
center is the woman, and her body disintegrates into a car suspended
by ropes. I put it in the middle to attract focus. Also, the hand in
the picture has a magnified effect. It looks like the woman is
grabbing one's hand and rushing to somewhere, and she was like a robot
that can move very fast. The idea was so abstract that I can't explain
why the design looks like it, but overall, I think this design really
caught my eye.

Pre-Composition #3:
REFLECTION
Experience:
In this physical collage project, I worked with different materials like
paper, magazines, and printed elements. It was interesting to figure out
what the composition looks like, and I like cutting, layering, and
arranging the elements to create the overall collage.
Observation:
Through this project, I observed that physical elements present a range
of texture that a digital environment can't quite replicate. Besides, the
composition of the collage is very important, which will affect the final
cohesiveness.
Findings:
This project taught me to be patient and think ahead, and encourage my
creativity.
