REFLECTION

Experience:
In this digital collage project, I used Adobe Photoshop to combine my self-portrait image with the background provided. I find a white, clean wall to take my picture on, so it's easier for me to do masking. Plus, I learned to use various tools and effects for this exercise, such as the pen tool and the lasso tool, and I made changes to the colour and brightness to match the color tones of the environment.

Observation:
Through this project, I observed that the angle when taking a photo of myself is important; we should make sure the angle is from eye level only. Besides, I observed that my original portrait had to be slightly desaturated to match the colour of the background. Hence, the colour and brightness are crucial as well.

Findings:
I learned how to layer multiple elements, from self-portraits to shadowing, without losing the original details of either image. Overall, I've learned new techniques in Photoshop and I would like to learn more.
