Description:
This is the final best version outcome, "Welcome to Lilliput". It's a dreamlike, horror, and surreal scenario. I've learned to use the tools in Adobe Photoshop like lasso tools, quick selection, pen tool, layers, and so on. Also, this project deepened my understanding of composition, creativity, and the technique of using Photoshop.
ADJUSTMENT LAYERS & FILTERS
In this adjustment of the image, I learned how to adjust filters such as brightness, contrast, hue/saturation, levels, curves, color balance, and black and white to enhance color vibrancy and depth. For the typewriter, I adjusted the color balance (Red+34, Magenta -1, Yellow -21) and also made it brighter. Besides the door on the typewriter, I make it brighter (+46) and the contrast (-1). Lastly, the floor, I make it more red, to present a bloody and horror scenario. Overall, I'm satisfied with it, as it gives me the effect I wanted.
REFLECTION
Experience:
In this project, I also worked in Photoshop to adjust the layers and filters of the digital collage. It was fun; it lets the image look more reality and terrifying, which matched the initial ideas when creating this collage. I used different tools to adjust the image like Hue/Saturation, color balance, brightness/contrast, lasso tool, layers panel and so on.
Observation:
I observed that adjustments to filters and layers significantly impacted the final look of the image. Apart from that, I also noticed that organizing layers and naming them properly was important to keep track of changes and easier for differentiate each part of the layers.
Findings:
Through this exercise, I found that using Hue/Saturation and Color Balance adjustments are the most common tools to use as it could unify color palettes across different images, making them looks more harmonious.
